Price only ever rises when there's a genuine major update and a real increase in what it costs us to run — and when that happens, we'll say so plainly and show our reasoning. Even then, you keep the rate you signed up at. New subscribers may pay the new price; you won't. That's not a marketing line — it's the only kind of promise we make.

No. The trial starts automatically after your sixth shop run. No card, no commitment, no hidden terms. At the end of three months you either pay or you drop to free scanning. That's it.
What happens when the trial ends?
You get one email explaining exactly what you'll keep and what changes. If you don't pay, you keep scanning free and receive The Honest Bites monthly. Your profile data is preserved for 90 days in case you decide to upgrade later.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No friction, no dark patterns. One tap in your profile. You keep everything until the end of the period you've paid for.

Will the price go up?
Only for a genuine major update paired with a real rise in running costs — and we'll explain it openly when it happens. Small features and improvements are always free. Even when the price does move, you keep the rate you signed up at; only new subscribers pay the new one.
Is this available everywhere?
The app works on any phone with a camera and internet connection. The website and newsletter work anywhere. We're starting in the UK and expanding. If your local supermarket's barcodes work with Open Food Facts, TheHonest works too.
